At MEM we use a variety of methods for inspecting ducting and piping before taking steps towards their reconditioning and maintenance.
Endoscopic Examination
Endoscopic examination is provided to carry out a visual examination to determine the internal state and condition of the ducting and pipes. We are equipped with both Flexible and Stiff Endoscopes.
Prior to examination we would drill a hole into the system as small as 4.5mm. Through this opening we will be able to inspect the internal condition of the system recorded on VHS video via our controllable endoscope.
Scope of examination:
- To determine the grade of pollution
- Visual inspection of bearings
- Visual inspection of welds
- Inspection of gaskets
- Trace blockages
- Various other visual inspections.
A report would then be issued highlighting the established state and condition of system. This report may consist of VHS colour tape and/or photographs.
Microbiological Examination
In some required cases, the following services are implemented:
- Air samples are taken and processed by a specified laboratory
- A report is issued to identify results of air test and actions required
- "Post Clean” samples will be taken to confirm the cleaning operation is successful.
Explosion Safe Video Inspections
With our modern explosion-free equipment we can be your partner in the inspection of any pipelines and systems where there is a risk of fire or explosion. The equipment consists of an approved Rotational Colour Flexiprobe and enables us to carry out inspections to all pipe diameters.
On site photographs can be taken of critical points of concern, as well as being able to provide a video complete with digital subtitles. A final report will be presented including videotape, a written report and optionally printed digital photographs.
